Who we are

Atef Design is a common name for the sole proprietorship business Atef Abdelkefi and provides professional web development service and WordPress web hosting services.

This policy DOES NOT cover websites that we host for our customers as part of Atef Design. For these sites, the site owner/customer is responsible for publishing its own privacy policy.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Email/Contact Forms

We use Google Workspace to process all internal email and communication with our customers. 

Customers that email us, or use any of the contact forms on our website, will have their email address, IP address, and any data provided in the contact form or body of the email stored in Google Workspace archives.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

Paying Customers

For business analytics, CRM and payment subscription records for Atef Design Hosting solutions, we use WPMU DEV. WPMU DEV,’s privacy policy can be found here.

We use Stripe for payment transactions processing for all Atef Design Hosting services. Stripe’s privacy policy is found here.

To comply with accounting and legal requirements, we keep data on financial transactions in the systems above for a minimum of 7 years.

Who we share your data with

The security and reliability of our service is our number one priority. We invest heavily in the training of our staff and our infrastructure to ensure that best practices are followed in everything that we do.

Prevention is best when it comes to security, and as a first step, we follow all WordPress Code Standards in the plugins that we build and use.

In addition, we have an extensive an array of professional plugins we install on all hosted websites to monitor and prevent potential security vulnerabilities in our services.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Data Breach Procedures

Should any event occur where customer data has been lost, stolen, or potentially compromised, our policy is to alert our customers via email no later than 48 hours of our team becoming aware of the event. We will also report such incident to any required data protection authority. We will work closely with any customers affected to determine next steps such as any end-user notifications, needed patches, and how to avoid any similar event in the future.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site (paying customers), you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
